Structuring the tutorial

Focus Points: Tutorial with Ryan Lampe

Whatever the structure of the tutorial you should aim to maximise student participation and preparation. This clip illustrates a tutorial that is being conducted as a problem solving group work tutorial. The tutorial is noisy and interactive and students are working in groups.

This type of tutorial requires students to use analytical, critical thinking, interpretation and discussion skills. Ryan asks a lot of questions and students readily participate. He checks that everyone understands the solution.
